Paris. Aux Folies

Aux Folies is a café bar  on the corner of the rue de Belleville and rue Dénoyez. Run by Mezziane and Murad it is open from 7 am till 2 am.

The rue Dénoyez was at the heart of a Jewish quarter before the second world war. Most of the inhabitants were deported to Germany and killed in the nazi camps. Today the street is squatted by artists, the walls of every building is a living graffiti that can change. A wall painting can disappear under a new one any time. The street is worth visting from times to times.

Aux Folies is not immune from the graffiti craze. Spend some time in the toilets, there is plenty to see and read.
